THE FRIENDS

The Friends of CB Parks and Greenways is here to improve our parks and the experience of everyone who uses them. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization by which you can help create a positive, direct effect through donations to the projects we are creating.

We are improving the Carolina Beach parks and greenways, creating areas to enhance what we have; landscape, sites and structures for individuals and groups to use as a personal oasis. All our projects must be approved by the Town of Carolina Beach Department of Parks and Recreation.

The Carolina Beach Parks system provides valuable, high-impact services which improve the lives of the people who live and visit here. However, like many agencies, it operates under tight fiscal constraints, forcing it to make difficult decisions on how to optimally serve everyone.

That’s where the Friends of CB Parks and Greenways comes in. We are here to provide financial support for specific, tangible additions to improve and enhance our parks by requesting donations, applying for grants, promoting fund-raising events and organizing volunteers.

As you will see throughout our site, we have specific projects in mind so you can pick and choose how you’d like to help. From donations for beach wheelchairs; to memorial benches and trees; to shade structures for playgrounds and drinking fountains for people (and dogs!), we’re just starting to help make our parks and lives even better.
